My name is Kena Kump. I love technology. I am on a computer every day. I bought a laptop in 2007 and it was one of the best purchases I have made. I remember hunting and pecking on a typewriter when I was in elementary school, writing 100 page stories. Now I look back and realize how much technology has progressed, and how amazing it is.

I sent my first email in 1997 in my junior year of HS. I remember exactly what the computer room looked like, and who it was to. It was to another journalist on my journalist team. I remember feeling "cool."

Now I have accounts on facebook, myspace music, twitter, you tube, writers cafe, mingle 2, and so many places. I feel the internet is an amazing tool for people to get to know each other. Many times we feel more comfortable talking to people online, ones we may not talk to in real life.

I am really excited about this class, and learning more about technology. And helping students feel confident with using computers, as we will be.
